Why a Skatepark?
Community engagement
Skateparks give people with similar interests a chance to meet and form lasting relationships. Younger generations especially should feel recognized and appreciated by their community. A skatepark would give the youth a chance to interact with others who share their love of skateboarding.
A place for all
There is no reason to feel intimidated by a skatepark! They are inclusive and welcoming places for people of all ages and skill levels. Whether young or old, a beginner or an expert, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Safety and security
Did you know that most skateboard-related injuries happen outside of the skatepark? These injuries are most commonly caused by surface irregularities and collisions with vehicles and pedestrians. A skatepark not only provides skaters with a designated place to practice their sport, but it also allows them to do so in a safer environment.
